Poland is particularly fortunate to have received a generous gift from Mother Nature: a variety of landscapes of exceptional beauty. At the same time, Polish material culture testifies to the nation’s glorious past, the permanence of traditions upheld by Poles and the diversity of foreign influences that could be felt in different regions throughout the centuries. It is hardly feasible to encapsulate the richness of experience this country has to offer in a few hundred pages of a guidebook.
